Rose Valley Films- redefining the Bengali film industry



A production house essentially refers to a company that is in charge for the development, production and distribution of films. On many cases the film production house can also be responsible for raising the funds for the film. Sometimes they also sell their products to a film studio or presenting it in a theatrical venue. Running a film production house isn’t as easy as it may sound. It needs great managerial skills and high set of talented resources to make sure that the films coming out of a production house is getting the highest exposure in the industry and over the audience at large. Of late, thanks to the corporatization of film productions, plenty of actors, directors, producers, writers of various film industries of the globe have started opening their own production houses because of the fact that this gives them a good opportunity of controlling their careers.
In India there are some of the best film production houses to reckon with, these are professionally managed and known for offering time bound, proficient services. Kolkata being the cultural hub of the country and being the epicenter of some of the greatest films of Indian cinema of all-time has always been in search of a good production house. Film lovers of India will be glad to know that from its inception as a Public Limited Company 2006, Rose Valley Films has come a long way to become a profit-making organization producing several Award winning Bengali films with eminent directors like Anjan Das, Goutam Ghose, Tarun Majumder, Prabhat Roy & others. A lot of films that have been produced under the Rose Valley banner have got the cash boxes buzzing at the box office along with huge critical applause.
The Bengali feature film “Jara Bristite Bhijechilo” won an international award. Films like ‘Pitribhumi’, ‘Chander Bari have also made its mark in the Film Industry. Of late, “Moner Manush” directed by renowned Director Goutam Ghose won the “Golden Peacock” Award in International Film Festival of India-2010 (IFFI) held at Goa along with National Awards in two different categories. Director Kaushik Ganguly’s feature film Laptop won an award in the Dubai Film Festival.
